Visual Walkthrough

Stormbreaker Activity Overview

The Stormbreaker activity is a multi-stage mission located in the Pyro system (Pyro I and Pyro IV). The loop involves infiltrating data centers to acquire access cards and ends with summoning a giant worm world boss for high-value rewards. Exclusive gear includes VOLT weaponry, Sterling Protective Suits, and the ATLS-RAD power suit.

Phase 1: Infiltration of Faro Data Centers (Pyro IV)

To begin, locate one of the 10 data centers on Pyro IV. Defeat the defensive turrets or approach via ground vehicle from 2km away. Secure the ASD Maintenance Key Card from the desk in the emergency shelter located near the courtyard.

Phase 1: Accessing Secured Rooms

Rooms such as the Executive Lounge and Storm Study Lab require biometric authorization. Perform a non-lethal takedown on an NPC scientist, drag them to the door scanner, and apply a Med-pen to wake them briefly to initiate the scan. Or alternately take the scientists clothes and put them on to pass through the scanner.

Phase 1: Printing the Lazarus Specimen Card

Locate the 5-digit code on a laptop in Data Processing. Enter this code into Tower 01 to start the 3-minute printing process. Note that a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) will spawn, and you must interact with the console again at the 50% completion mark.

Phase 2: Reaching the Lazarus Complex (Pyro I)

Pyro I features a 12km-high distortion field that disables ship power. Land at a Transit Station and use the automated shuttle for the 25km journey to the Lazarus Complex. Upon arrival, set your regeneration point at the exterior infirmary buildings.

Phase 2: Securing the ATLS-RAD

The ATLS-RAD power suit is the only chassis exempt from the distortion field. Use the ASD Maintenance Key Card to open the battery storage garage. Install the battery and have two players press the door terminals simultaneously to access the suit.

Phase 2: Acquiring the Valakar Egg

Enter the Specimen Cache wearing a Sterling Protective Suit. Use the Lazarus Specimen Card to begin 'cooking' the egg. This process triggers facility alarms and requires one console interaction during the countdown.

Phase 2: Summoning the Apex Valakar

Manually carry the egg to the Calling Tower while fighting smaller worms that will spawn along the way. Do not use a tractor beam, as physics errors may cause the egg to fall through the geometry. Insert the egg into the tower to summon the boss.

Combat Strategy: Apex Valakar

The giant Apex Valakar worm uses a bile spit (750m range) and a ground slam (150m instant death radius). Only damage dealt to green pustules on the body or inside the mouth will register. Target these weak spots and look for green splash indicators to confirm hits.

Extraction and Rewards

Upon defeating the boss, harvest giant Valakar worm Fangs using a Multi-tool with tractor beam attachment. Use a Multi-tool with a mining attachment to harvest the Apex Pearls.

Key Items and Resource Management

ASD Maintenance Key: Found at Faro, 2-hour respawn. Lazarus Specimen Card: Printed at Faro, 3-minute timer. Valakar Egg: 15-minute expiry once cooked. Use the one-way freight elevators at the Complex to store loot for safe retrieval at the Transit Hub.

Critical Equipment and Prep

Sterling Protective Suits are mandatory for the Egg Room and can be purchased at Stanton Gateway or Ruin. If using heavy armor, carry Decontamination Pens to manage radiation levels. The ATLS-RAD can be 'Titanfallen' from ships into the distortion zone.

Quick Reference

Phase 1: Pyro IV Infiltration

• Locate one of 10 Faro Data Centers on Pyro IV. • Retrieve ASD Maintenance Key from the Emergency Shelter desk. • Access secure rooms by performing a non-lethal takedown on an NPC scientist and dragging them to the door scanner. • Input the 5-digit code from the Data Processing laptop into Tower 01. • Print Lazarus Specimen Cache Card (3-minute process; requires interaction at 50% mark).

Phase 2: Pyro I Deployment

• Distortion Field: Ships lose power at 12km altitude; use the automated shuttle from the Transit Station. • Local Respawn: Set regeneration at the Lazarus Complex exterior infirmary. • ATLS-RAD Suit: Use ASD Key to power the garage. Requires two players to trigger door terminals. The ATLS is the only vehicle immune to the distortion field.

Phase 3: The Summoning Loop

• Sterling Protective Suit: Mandatory for entering the Specimen Cache. If using heavy armor, use Decontamination Pens to manage radiation. • The Egg: 'Cook' the egg in the tube while defending against attackers. • Delivery: Manually carry the egg to the Calling Tower. WARNING: Do not use tractor beams as the egg may fall through the floor geometry.

Phase 4: Apex Valakar Combat

• Weak Spots: Only damage to green pustules and the interior of the mouth registers. • Safe Distance: Maintain a 150m to 750m range. Attacks inside 150m (Ground Slam) are instant death. • Damage Confirmation: Look for green splash effects to confirm hits. • Resource Requirement: Approximately 4,000 rounds of LMG ammunition for a three-person team.

Phase 5: Extraction & Yield

• Valakar Fangs (6): Pull out using a tractor beam after the kill. • Apex Pearls (15): Harvest using a Pyro Multi-tool with mining attachment. • Secure Storage: Place loot in the Lazarus Complex freight elevators. These are one-way storage units accessible only at the Transit Hub.
